Doctor Who season 11: Pearl Mackie not ruling out Bill return
For the record, Pearl herself is letting it be known that she is certainty open to coming back to the series in the future, saying as much recently to the Radio Times in a new interview piece:
“One of the wonderful things about Doctor Who is that the world of possibilities is endless, so I guess, never say never…”
As for the Christmas Special itself, she also had nothing positive to say about it, given that there is going to be such an interesting spirit of excitement about it:
“There’s new beginnings – you’ve got new beginnings with [next Doctor] Jodie Whittaker – it’s a great adventure with two Doctors, it’s going to be very exciting, it’s going to be a lovely episode.”
This episode is going to feature David Bradley coming on board as William Hartnell’s first Doctor, a way in which to bring the end of Peter Capaldi’s time full-circle. It’s two Doctors near the end of their respective times in the world, trying to figure out their purpose and what the world means for them. Both of them are also in theory still doing what they can to prolong the inevitable, given that neither party wants to suffer or say goodbye to this role or the tremendous time in which they’ve had as the character.
What do you anticipate seeing when it comes to the Doctor Who Christmas Special, and the end of Pearl Mackie?
