NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 4 spoilers: Eddie George to guest star

NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 4

NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 4 is going to continue a recent CBS tradition of having NFL stars appear as guest stars. This time around, they are doing so in the form of Eddie George. The former Tennessee Titans running back, who has done acting gigs on Ballers, Shooter, and several other shows over the past few years, is going to be stopping by for this episode (airing in late October) in the role of Byron Brown. There isn’t too much more to report on his character, but George isn’t even the first NFL alum to appear on the NCIS franchise. Tony Gonzalez, the legendary tight end, has made a couple of different appearances on the show over the past few years.

While there are no additional details right now on George’s role, while we can go ahead and offer up some insight in the form of the NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 4 synopsis:

“After weapons with a $1 million street value are stolen, the team tracks the evidence to a wealthy charity event, prompting Mosley to be added to the guest list with Callen and Sam as her security detail, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Oct. 22 (9:30-10:30 PM, ET/9:00-10:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

You may have seen the photo above of Nia Long alongside LL COOL J and Chris O’Donnell; the only thing that makes it different now is that we understand the context a little more. Mosley will be taking more of the lead here while Sam and Callen serve as the bodyguards … ones who may be able to extract the weapons when nobody notices. This could be one of the biggest episodes of the first part of the season for Long, who in the opening episodes may be more of a voice of dissension to fans. She’s going to have clashes over the inclusion of Deeks in the team, and she may have hesitation about the ways in which the entire unit operates from the jump. She clearly knows that she has a way of operating that works, and she is going to want to bring that in to the remainder of the team here. Well, the problem with that is going to likely come when she realizes that just because one manner of doing things isn’t necessarily going to translate from one place and one team to the next.

For now, let’s give Mosley the benefit of the doubt — when she actually starts to see Deeks and Kensi working together, she may begin to realize just how valuable they are as a team.
