Blindspot season 3 video: Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton on evolution
If you look below, you can see both Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton both do their part to tease the latest collection of new episodes that are coming onto NBC later this fall, including a story that is bringing the show to another continent altogether in Italy. Moving the show to Venice to tell a story is a bold move, and it is also not the sort of thing that you often see with many network shows in particular. They tend to be rather sedentary, and this move is further proof of the belief that the network and creator Martin Gero has in making this show as great as it can possibly be.
In addition to the setting, Alexander and Stapleton also open up about some of the decisions that get the two of them to the point where Jane feels as though it’s better to leave Weller behind and take off to another part of the world. Jaimie claims that her character did this out of love, so we’ll just have to see the rest of the story play out in order to determine one way or another if that is actually the case. One way or another, it should be fun to watch the story unfold for these two. With years passing between this and the bulk of the season 2 story, the characters are now in a very different place than they once were. There are also new mysteries that need to be unlocked, including the golden tattoos, and there are alliances that are far more scattered. After all, one of the biggest things to always remember is that when you jump forward in time, the odds are very high that the metaphorical pieces on the chessboard are going to change. People don’t stay the same forever.
As for Blindspot itself, it’s already clear that the show will change with it moving over to Friday nights for the first time. We’ll see how it fares in the ratings…
