Raven’s Home episode 9 spoilers: Protecting Tess’ heart

Young love. This is a theme that defines many different shows on the Disney Channel, and it’s a big part of Raven’s Home episode 9. Over the course of this episode (entitled “In-vision of Privacy”), we’re going to see effectively what happens when Booker and Levi try to play deity when it comes to Tess’ heart. It’s a noble cause, given that they don’t want her to be devastated. Yet, we also imagine that this is just the sort of thing that these two guys are going to have to learn about over time. Often, romance is such where you can’t do anything to stop someone from getting hurt — if you do something to get in the way of it once, then you also face a problem where something could happen down the road. Sometimes, there is only so much that you can do and you are only prolonging the inevitable or causing more pain to get in the way.

The reason why we can’t point any fingers to either Booker or Levi here is because the two of them are doing their best to help. When you’ve got the sort of gift that Booker does, it’s inevitable that you’re going to want to use your powers for good. That’s why he thinks that he has them! If he isn’t able to use them in order to lend a helping hand, then what is the purpose of having them in the first place? This is very clearly something on his mind and also something that is going to be a big part of the show the rest of the series.

Ultimately, he may just need some guidance from Raven in understanding better the full extent of his powers, plus also when to use them and when to shy away. Over time, he will most likely get there … he just needs to be patient.
