Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 1 spoilers: Jolex news; hospital improvements

Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 1 is coming your way on ABC come Thursday, September 28, and it’s going to be joined by episode 2! We’re gearing up for all of our premiere coverage here at CarterMatt, and that includes today sharing details for this big two-hour event. Over the course of the installments you’ll see where Meredith is in the aftermath of Megan Hunt being brought back to Seattle, and also what’s going to be going on with the hospital as a whole following the fire. If you’re a Jolex fan, you can also be assured that there is some good stuff coming your way.

Is this good news or bad news for the fan-favorite couple? Well, at the moment it’s a little too early to say one way or another. All we can say with certainty is that this is going to be one of the most exciting starts to a season we’ve seen in some time.

Episode 1, “Break Down the House” – “Meredith and the team are focused on helping Owen’s sister after her shocking return, and Amelia faces a conflict over a patient. Meanwhile, Bailey is forced to give Grey Sloan a facelift after the fire, and the doctors are introduced to a few new faces that spice things up around the hospital.”

Episode 2, “Get Off on the Pain” – “Meredith struggles to come up with a new plan for Owen’s sister. Jo makes a surprising choice regarding Alex, and Andrew’s sister’s controversial research leads to a shocking discovery.”

Could this surprising choice mean that the two are getting back together? Well, it would be strange if the two went the opposite extreme after everything that they’ve already been through; plus, they did share a nice moment together at the end of this past season that gives us a little hope that their relationship could be a little bit more friendly down the line. There is still one cloud hanging over the two, though, and that’s Jo’s husband. The issue that the two parties have over this isn’t so much that Paul is out there, but that Alex intentionally saw him out and even exchanged a brief moment with him. While he didn’t do or say anything about who he is, that may still be seen as a huge breach of trust and a problem that could plague the two characters for a while down the line. It may not happen immediately, but signs point towards a Matthew Morrison return at some point this season. That could in turn shake things up.
