There’s no reason to wait to see Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver finally back on Teen Wolf season 6! MTV has released a new sneak peek in advance of Sunday night’s new episode, and it features these two performers front and center as Jackson and Ethan make their big return to Beacon Hills. Are you excited? We certainly are!
As for why they are back, one of the simple reasons for that could be as reinforcements. If you recall, Gerard basically armed anyone and everyone in the town who is ready to do battle with the supernatural beings — basically, he stepped up to remind everyone that he is an awful human being who likes to do awful things. Really, it’s as simple as that. Jackson and Ethan could be around to help, but the problem that comes with this is the fact that they have to get past Tamora first. Don’t you think that someone, (provided that Scott or one of the other heroes contacted them), would have said that the creepy guidance counselor is in on this? She was nervous about them the moment that they announced they were looking for Scott McCall, and when she finds out who they are, she then takes that as an opportunity to torture them. All things considered, Jackson and Ethan (who are also now a couple, by the way) seem to do a pretty good job handling the torture.
While the exits of Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver from the show are still sad to many fans out there, we do think that the two pick their characters back up fairly well in this preview, really without any sort of hesitation – like an old friend you haven’t seen in ages. They feel like a natural part of this world, and eventually we do want to see them come back and play a part with some of the other longtime regulars still around. These two coming back is basically them celebrating the show that they were really able to use as a launching pad to some other projects. This is in part why we’re also happy to be seeing more of both Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Hoechlin over the course of these final episodes, as well. Everyone showed a willingness to come back, and we feel like that helps to make the show into more of a family reunion.
Of course, you also better hope that some of these characters are going to be able to take Gerard and some of his minions down a notch, given that the werewolves in Beacon Hills are starting to feel surrounded thanks to these characters and their ideology of hate.
