Queen of the South season 2 finale spoilers: Camila, Teresa’s showdown

You knew that it was coming for quite some time, and on the Queen of the South season 2 finale airing on USA next week, it’s officially here: The battle for the ages between Camila and Teresa. We’ve been building towards it for a while, as the two characters have looked for allies, tried to figure out plans, and determined what the right way is for the two of them to prepare what is certain to be an epic battle for the ages. You’ve been waiting for this, and odds are that we’re going to be building towards some sort of epic cliffhanger that is going to set up the stage for a third season that will be airing next year.

As we’ve done all summer long, let’s start things off here by sharing the official synopsis for what is coming — it’s not long, but you can’t expect it to be at this point.

Does this mean that we’re nearing the end of Camila’s time on the show? It’s easy to make that assumption, but in this world we do think that almost anything can happen and we could see a shakeup in due time. Camila has been a part of the series from the very beginning, and it’s with that in mind that it’s hard to imagine the series pushing forward into the future without her being a part of it in some shape or form.

The promo below goes the extra mile when it comes to making one thing clear: Someone is probably going to die. We also learn via Camila that she is not someone with any real interest in making a deal with Teresa. There is a hostage crisis and so much more coming.

What are the latest ratings?

Is Queen of the South entering its finale on a high note? Judging from the ratings from the recent August 17 episode, thing are looking that way. Not only did this past episode match the most-recent rating of a 0.4 in the 18-49 demographic, but with 1.24 million total viewers, this was the most-watched episode of the season since the second installment back in June. that proves that there are some people who are coming back in order to dive back into the show, whether they missed a few episodes in between or were simply checking things out on their DVR.
