Power season 4 episode 8 spoilers: Jamie’s double life continues

Power season 4 episode 8

When Power season 4 episode 8 airs on Starz Sunday night, one of the biggest surprises that you have a chance to see is how easily James St. Patrick will continue his double life. Even after the murder trial, which didn’t actually get to a verdict, he is still finding a way to operate as he once did.

For one example of this very thing, take a look at the sneak peek below where Jamie, accompanied by Dre, gets a chance to hear a little bit more of what City Councilman Tate wants to do in order to try and clean up the neighborhood. The majority of his plans revolving around finding ways to repair the infrastructure, and make the residents feel as though there are other options. Tate is clearly an ambitious guy, and it’s easy to admire him for that.

Yet, he also makes it pretty darn clear to Ghost in this clip just how many obstacles that he still faces on the road towards making the neighborhood better. For one, there are so many youth still addicted to drugs, and it’s hard to convince any of them to move away from that culture. This is going to have to be a plan in stages, and little does Tate know that he is speaking to someone who once helped to run the drug trade and bring it to new heights. Sure, Jamie may be a successful businessman, but if Tate knew the truth this isn’t the sort of business he’d want to be associated with.

The only good news for Ghost in this episode is that with Angela still hot on the trail of the mole, there’s a chance that he could be completely cleared of Greg Knox’s murder soon enough.

Does Ghost actually want to clean up the city?

We do think so. For more than a season now, Ghost has professed an interest in getting away from his old life. The problem here is that no matter how hard he tries, there manages to be something that drags him back into this world and forces him to do things that he doesn’t want to do anymore. This could be the case for him moving forward thanks to Simon Stern, and also what we’ve already seen him do with Kanan.

Of course, we do think that 50 Cent’s character, one way or another, is going to be rearing his head back on the show again soon.
