Crime Dynamic Duos: NCIS: Los Angeles (Sam / Callen) vs. Quantico (Alex / Ryan)

Crime Dynamic Duos

Who is the best Dynamic Duo on television? The mystery is still out there, and in this edition of our Crime Dynamic Duos tournament we’re thrilled to share a pair of worthy round two contenders. They emerged through the rubble of the first round and are a step closer to claiming the title this year. They each come from very different shows — you’ve got a traditional crime procedural mixed with an FBI espionage thriller, but we like to think that the goals of both pairs are similar in the end. They’re both great partnerships, but in the end, only one gets to move forward.

Below, you can get more of our take on what makes the two different pairs special — plus how they each fared in the first round of the tournament.

Who moves on to the next round? That’s totally up to you! Check out the poll at the bottom of the article.

Voting Rules – You may vote however much you want within the specified voting window. (The image above explains everything in terms of start and stop dates.) Still with us? Let’s dive into this battle…

Sam and Callen, NCIS: Los Angeles (#3 seed) – We figured that there’d be an audience behind Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J’s characters, and it was nice to see the two of them score a commanding win in the first round. They’ve got a lot of buzz around them with the show returning to CBS this fall, and things are going to be more dramatic and intense arguably than ever before. just remember everything that you’ll be seeing the two guys go through — Sam’s not even going to be with the team when the show returns, as he’ll still be recovering from the events of the end of last season. Hopefully, Callen is there as a shoulder to lean on.

Alex and Ryan, Quantico (#7 seed) – Going into the tournament this year we considered the pair to be one of the underdogs, but they made fairly short work of Shawn and Gus from Psych on their way to getting to this spot. They’ve earned their place in the second round, and their appeal stems from the fact that you’ve got this effective partnership mixed with a hot-and-heavy relationship that sprinkles in questions of loyalty and allegiance. You never quite know what position the two characters are going to be in or what trouble lies around the corner for them. This is, by and large, one of the reasons for there to be enthusiasm watching them.

Now, let’s turn this over to you
