Teen Wolf season 6 episode 13 spoilers: Tyler Posey directs ‘After Images’

There are two reasons to be excited about Teen Wolf season 6 episode 13 airing on August 13, 2017, and both involve Tyler Posey. It appears as though Scott McCall will have an important role in the episode, but beyond that, Posey is directing for the first time. If we had to guess how this all came about for him, it would probably be somehow like this: After being a part of the show for so long and being on set, he probably started to shadow some of the directors and get some additional information about their process. This is an extremely useful skill to learn, given that it does allot for so much more variety and diversity when it comes to what you can do in the future. You’ve got a chance to do acting and directing opportunities beyond this show — we do know already that Posey has an acting gig courtesy of what’s coming on Jane the Virgin. We’ll see just where the story goes from here.

Teen Wolf season 6 episode 13 synopsis – “While Scott and the others desperately pursue a missing werewolf, Melissa and Argent investigate the nature of a strange body.”

If this synopsis sounds a good bit like an investigation-based episode more so than a supernatural one, there is a specific reason for that: This is what the show is looking to do for much of the final season. More so than present a number of new supernatural creatures, they are focusing more on hunters, and the threat that they present to humanity. Look at it this way — we’ve always been our own worst enemies as humans, and it only makes sense that the show try its best to present something that is a reflection of that. Teen Wolf in some way has always relied on humanity as an important touchstone to its story. Most of the time, though, that humanity was present more so in the relationships than in some of the threats. Here, you’re getting effectively the best of two different worlds.

Warning: spoilers from tonight’s episode ahead

At the end of the installment, you saw the return of Gerard Argent to the show. What that means is highly significant given that he seems intent on getting some new recruits. It’s good news for Teen Wolf to be celebrating someone who is rather significant to its past. However, it’s not-so-good news when this is someone who could be working against most of the main characters in a fairly significant way.
