Teen Wolf season 6 episode 2 spoilers: Prepare for Cody Christian’s return

Cody Christian's return

When Teen Wolf season 6 episode 2 airs this weekend on MTV, one of the by takeaways will be Cody Christian’s return. Theo has been a big part of the show as of late, and given what we’ve seen from him, there remain questions aplenty. Can he ever really be redeemed, and what does he want for his life in the end? He’s not your average character and your average villain; he’s the show’s equivalent of a wind-up toy who goes out of control when someone turns the key too wildly.

Our final verdict on Theo is rather simple: He wants to feel like he’s a part of something, and if you exclude him from that opportunity what you are really doing is just giving him a license to wreck stuff in the streets. (We’re using “stuff” to replace another word that we really want to say in this context.) He’s violent, and he will be returning to make his presence felt in an epic way.

What is perhaps the most interesting about Christian coming back Sunday is that it, apparently, was not a part of the original design. This is something that show executive producer Jeff Davis explains further as a part of a new interview with TVLine on the subject:

“The episode originally came up short [in run time]. One of the editors told me we were short, and I’m like, ‘Well, we have to introduce Theo in a big way.’ So we added it in.”

As for what adding Theo into the story achieved, it may have just given the show that actually boost to get people excited about the remaining eight installments to come. There are many other former cast members and characters you will be seeing within those, as well. You’ve probably heard the names Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver many times now, and you know already that Tyler Hoechlin is back based on the cliffhanger from this past episode. The same goes for Dylan O’Brien as Stiles, who is now off at Quantico and learning more of the truth in regards to Derek being targeted as a serial killer.

Let’s be honest: There are PLENTY of people at the moment within the Teen Wolf world who should be viewed as some sort of serial killer. However, we feel fairly confident that Derek is not one of them.

In getting back to Theo, though, we do hope that this story ends with him finding some sort of happiness just because we know that he is capable of it. He is not the sort of character who can find that easily, but we’re not completely giving up hope on him just yet.
