Suits season 7 episode 5 spoilers: Harvey, Louis’ difficult dilemma

When Suits season 7 episode 5 airs on USA next week, the drama’s going to be across the board — and take many different forms. Take, for example, Mike finding himself once again at the brink thanks to everything that he has going on. His relationship with Rachel is better than it’s been, but he still isn’t getting a whole lot of time to spend with her. He has his regular work at Pearson Specter Litt, and then also working on some of his pro-bono cases. This was a part of his agreement for returning to PSL, and he’s going to keep that going even if it exhausts him in the process.

Beyond this, there are many other events taking place in the hour! Some of the official details below give you some more insight.

Suits season 7 episode 5 synopsis – “Mike juggles his work obligations with his promise to help a hurting family. Harvey asks for Louis’s discretion in handling a sensitive matter. Donna vets a possible addition to the firm.”

The story between Harvey and Louis is our personal favorite on paper, largely because of the idea of it giving Louis power over the firm’s managing partner — a position Louis doesn’t often find himself in. What you have to hope for is that he is mature enough to handle this position, and isn’t just going to salivate over the idea of power so much that it causes him to blurt out whatever Harvey is going through. We like to think he’s matured over time and become a much better person because of the various errors of the past. Also, therapy.

If nothing else, consider this as something to be psyched about: Great material for Rick Hoffman and Gabriel Macht. Anything that allows us an opportunity to have that is something that we’ll celebrate a million ways to Sunday. It does also seem that we’ll have some more great content via Sarah Rafferty, and we imagine that for her, this is one of the strongest seasons since it offers her an opportunity to take on a very different dimension of Donna. She’s now far more in control of what she brings to the firm, and it’s about time, given that she has the skill set to be a real manager of the operation.

Thanks to what we saw in the closing minutes tonight, Mike is working with Oliver on the case. That’s great for finding justice for the victims, but also terrible when it comes to figuring out the best possible way to ensure that Mike keeps his job. He already made a deal to Harvey to keep things separate because of the conflict with Alex.

Oh, and Harvey’s bind does relate to Harvey and the relationship he has with Paula. The promo confirms it.
