Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Jessica & Cody kiss and make up (day 40)

Cody & Jessica

Who knew that day 40 in the Big Brother house was going to turn out to be so strange? Given that Jessica has the Halting Hex, this should be an open-and-shut/fairly boring week. Maybe Jessica & Cody are really interested in making us eat our words that this week was going to be one of the more lifeless ones on the feeds. That’s not happening! It’s madness.

If you missed our reporting earlier, Paul made a pitch to Jess earlier today that if she didn’t play the Halting Hex and allowed the group to get rid of Cody, they would keep her safe in the near future and target her arch-rival Alex next. Jessica met up with Paul, Mark, Raven, Matt, and Elena later, and that plan was seemingly solidified. Everything seems to be in place if she wants to do that. (If they house really has no chill, what they should do is tell Jessica that and then vote her out — you’re leaving someone in Cody around who is terrible socially, and also is starting to feel checked out of the game.) We don’t think that anyone is actually planning to target Alex, but this is a house of lies where this sort of stuff happens.

Earlier today, Cody & Jessica also had a huge fight, one that stemmed from some nonsense fight over loyalty and a comment Cody technically lied about. He denied saying that Alex and Jason should be left in the game to go after Jessica and Raven down the road — maybe he honestly doesn’t remember, but either way, that was so long ago that it’s completely irrelevant now. At that point, it felt like you could just put a fork in Cody since he was done both in terms of his relationship and his game.

We still can’t speak for his game, though we feel like come tomorrow he’ll be back and ready to fight. (Jess would be silly to not use the Halting Hex and we strongly believe that she will, despite whatever is happening tonight.) What we can say is that the two have kissed (many times) and made up romantically, and that Cody slipped an “I love you” in there somewhere. He said it in passing, so we don’t even though if he meant to say it when he first did. They’re going to be fine, and we figure that they’ll probably try to make this work outside of the game. We’d say it’s unlikely since they’re from different states and have totally different lives; yet, we’ve all been cynical about some other Big Brother relationships before that turned out to be successful. Let’s just hope that if they do break up they don’t threaten each other using legal terms while one of them makes a periscope to “spill all the tea” about what happened.

We’ll be back potentially later with one more update from the Big Brother live feeds, so be sure to bookmark our show archive page! (Photo: CBS.)
