Turn: Washington’s Spies season 4 episode 4 spoilers: Abraham’s journey

Abraham's mission

When Turn: Washington’s Spies season 4 episode 4 is airing on AMC this weekend, what you’re going to see at the center of it is an undercover mission like no other. Abraham Woodhull is going to be a man on a mission, and that mission was simple: Take Simcoe, Benedict Arnold, and everyone else down from within. In order to do this, though, it may require one of the biggest risks that he’s taken to date: Finding a way in which to convince the opposition that he is on their side.

In the sneak peek below, you get a chance to see Abe use his family name, and his recent tragedy, in order to find himself a spot in the American Legion (which is technically the British militia group that Arnold is helping to lead). He is going to be able to get a spot within the group, and then from there it’s all about climbing the ranks before making a move.

While we’ve seen Woodhull undergo some enormous risks since the start of the series, what you’re seeing moving into this weekend’s new episode is arguably his biggest risk of all. After all, he is putting forth a great deal of effort into being in a situation where easily, one wrong move could have him killed. He has to keep his emotions in check, appeal to the egos of the right people, and in the end find a way to make these people feel like he is loyal.

Oh, and he may also need to get lucky here and there along the way. Any good spy does need a little bit of luck on his side.

We’re getting close to the midway point of the season now, and this is where things are going to start picking up into high gear. This is, after all, the final season of the show, and with that the biggest thing that you should note is that by the end of the episode, you’re going to see things in a very different position with some of these characters than you saw them before. The story has to speed up, but not without some of its trademark plotting and political maneuvering.
