America’s Got Talent: Johnny Manuel, Oskar and Gaspar viral winners

Johnny Manuel

There are multiple viral winners for America’s Got Talent once again this week, at least in terms of acts that have made a huge impression on their way to getting into the Judge Cuts round. There were no Golden Buzzer acts from Tuesday’s show, and with that, everyone is on a level playing field in terms of having to perform fewer times in order to advance.

However, there are clearly some acts that are generating a little bit more buzz than others online!

Johnny Manuel – While typically AGT tends to feature a different act on their YouTube and Facebook account, the singer, who came on the show after being previously signed and dropped elsewhere, is getting the support of both venues. His audition has generated (between the two social channels) an impressive 92 million views as of this writing. Isn’t that a great way to further kickstart a singing career? We like to think so.

Oskar and Gaspar – Through their smart decision to utilize Heidi Klum as a model during their tech showcase, these super-mysterious artists (who prefer to not be seen) have more than two million views on YouTube, making them the second-most-popular of the acts who first turned up during the show.

Carlos De Antonis – He closed the show, and he’s the #2 Facebook act with more than 5.5 million pageviews there. The unfortunate thing for Carlos is that in 2017, opera acts on this show do seem to have a ceiling. Heck, they did even when Jackie Evancho was taking the world by storm. You can be very good, but it’s still a struggling to make it through to getting the grand prize at the end. The last time we saw that happen was back in season 3 with Neal E. Boyd.

The one other person we’d watch in the weeks to come is comedic magician Vinny Grosso, who has almost 1.7 million YouTube streams for his audition. The thing here is that when you’re an act that is willing to strip down on television, you’re probably thinking outside of the box. We imagine that there will be a little bit more of this sort of creativity from him in some of the performances that are still to come.
