The Bachelorette spoilers: When will Lee Garrett, Kenny King two-on-one date happen?

two-on-one

One of the main talking points from Monday night’s The Bachelorette was the drama unfolding between two of the contestants in Lee Garrett and Kenny King. The two men traded barbs, mostly because of Lee’s pot-stirring and Kenny’s tendency to get in his own way. Obviously, we’re #TeamKenny on this one; his temper did get out of control, but this is one of those situations where Rachel Lindsay doesn’t know the full story. To take that a step further, no one on The Bachelorette knows the FULL story when it comes to Lee’s controversial tweets, and many of them have stayed relatively quiet about it since those tweets first came to light. Rachel did address it briefly on Monday night, though mostly in response to an offensive comment from former contestant Leah Block that caused her to sign off social media.

Before moving forward, let’s take on another subject here: Why has the show been largely quiet about Lee, save for a statement by Chris Harrison and Rachel’s passing comment? For production, much of it is sheer embarrassment. They could have hired someone to go through social media, and they would have seen it and Lee would have never been cast. There’s a reason why this guy will not be a part of Bachelor Nation after this season; while this show may love people who stir the pot and get angry (remember, we’ve seen Chad Johnson on multiple shows at this point), they don’t love people who make racist comments.

Anyhow, the two-on-one date between Kenny and Lee was shown briefly in the preview after Monday’s episode. Here’s the bad news: Based on the press release today, you will be waiting until TUESDAY to see the aftermath of said date. Be sure to charge up your phone for it because there’s probably going to be all sorts of tomfoolery (yes, we do sound like a cranky old person now) going on with this date.

For more, take a look at the attached synopsis:

“On the much-anticipated two-on-one date between two bitter rivals, one man causes the more emotional guy to settle the score once and for all in one of the most riveting and shocking confrontations ever on the show. How will it end? Who will go home or will Rachel clean house?”

Who should stay? Obviously Kenny, given that Lee is THE WORST and not someone anyone should want to spend time with on the show. The guys don’t like him, and Rachel’s starting to get that. Unfortunately for poor Kenny, we also see him going home just because there’s nothing really there between the two of them. She looked at him Monday night with a lot of “I’m not mad, I’m disappointed” on her face, and that is absolutely not something that you’re able to walk back from.

If both people are sent home, maybe production will find a unique way to abandon BOTH of them somewhere? We do know that for whatever reason, they love to do this and make you think that people live out the rest of their days on an abandoned island or at a train station in the middle of nowhere.

If you missed it (understandable, given that there has been a TON of news lately), know that the show is bringing almost the entirety of its original cast down to Mexico. Lee’s not there, so don’t worry about that. (Photo: ABC.)
