Bachelor in Paradise 4 will return; DeMario Jackson, Corinne Olympios investigation ends
In a statement today, Warner Bros. revealed that they have found no sexual assault took place during filming earlier this month, and that the video of the incident serves as proof of that. Read below:
“As we previously stated, we recently became aware of allegations regarding an incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico. We take all such allegations seriously. The safety, security, and well-being of the cast and crew is our number one concern, and we suspended filming so that the allegations could be investigated immediately and thoroughly. Our internal investigation, conducted with the assistance of an outside law firm, has now been completed. Out of respect for the privacy interests of those involved, we do not intend to release the videotape of the incident. We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member. Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy. Production on this season of Bachelor in Paradise will be resuming, and we plan to implement certain changes to the show’s policies and procedures to enhance and further ensure the safety and security of all participants.”
Jackson had been advocating for the release of the tape to clear his name, but more than likely this will prove to be sufficient to him.
There is no word as of yet as to whether or not DeMario or Corinne will be returning to the show when it resumes filming. For now, the big surprise is that the show is happening at all this summer given that production is operating under such a tight window. Even if the incident is not a part of the upcoming season, there is still a question as to whether or not it will be addressed. Even if the investigation showed that there was no assault, these are still serious conversations to be had and production should look at ensuring that the drinking that takes place in Mexico does not get out of control. All sources do seem to agree that both Corinne and DeMario had been imbibing before the incident took place.
