NeNe Leakes talks Real Housewives of Atlanta season 10 return

It’s now official that NeNe Leakes is back in action on The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 10, and while she’s not going to be around full-time, she will definitely make her mark in the story. As you would expect given that this is NeNe that we’re talking about here, that does mean that she’ll probably make her presence known stirring up a little bit of signature drama and spilling some tea.

So what does NeNe have to say about her appearance coming up on the show? She addressed this subject in a new statement to Us Weekly, making it clear that her fans are one of the big reasons why she’s back:

“I don’t think I go anywhere and don’t get asked the question, ‘When are you coming back to Housewives?’ Or I get fans coming up to me saying, ‘I really miss seeing you on the show.’ I’m told this daily. My fans have supported me all these years, and it started to feel like I was disappointing them … I just want to be the person to finally say to my fans who have supported me for so many years: I’m back and ready for season 10. Let the shade begin, hunni!”

It is probably true that NeNe doesn’t actually need to do the show at this point in her career, given that doing the show as long as she has over the years has probably made her plenty of money thanks to various product lines and appearance. There are also certainly some bad aspects of doing it, such as the stress of the drama and some of the nastiness that came out of this past season. But, for many negatives sometimes there are positives! For NeNe, one of the biggest ones is that she does have a lot of fans out there, and doing this show does probably enable her to do some other things that she enjoys doing, including some acting jobs here and there.

NeNe is coming onto the show at the same time as her former co-star / former frenemy Kim Zolciak, and there are plenty of other storylines that are set to play out over the season. For example, the news is already out there on the internet that Kenya Moore is married, and we anticipate that this will be addressed. Meanwhile, there are also rumors aplenty regarding Phaedra Parks filming one final scene. It’ll be interesting to gauge the truth there.
