America’s Got Talent: Mandy Harvey, Angelica Hale, Colin Cloud go viral
Mandy was Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act for the season, and it shouldn’t be much of a shock that as of right now, she is nearing almost 110 million total views on just the official Facebook and YouTube alone. The Facebook page tends to be where the bulk of the internet traffic does tend to come from for some of these acts, but this viewership all but confirms that she and Darci Lynne are two of the favorites to beat this season. (We’d also probably throw Puddles Pity Party in there after his memorable audition as well.)
As for some of the other acts who are raking in hits…
Colin Cloud – The “real-life Sherlock Holmes” has over 16 million Facebook views and then over two million on YouTube to go along with it. He was the beneficiary of some footage of his audition coming online before the episode even aired.
Angelica Hale – The young singer has over 24 million views on Facebook in her own right, which is a tremendous start to her own journey on the show. The reality for her is that this show is much more of a beginning for her than an ending, so she should just be concerned with getting as many hits as possible as opposed to just trying to win. This can be the platform for the remainder of her life, and she’s still got plenty of time to develop her voice and figure out just what sort of artist she ultimately wants to be.
One of the things to remember here is that there are only so many acts that are actually shared on Facebook, and some of the rest are relegated to YouTube only (aside from little clips). Nick Uhas on YouTube has over a million viewers, which shouldn’t come as a shock given that he’s a YouTuber who has a reality TV background already on Big Brother. Meanwhile, Billy & Emily, who are also well-known from Britain’s Got Talent, are nearing a million hits with their own audition.
