Talking Dead spoilers: Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey join Chris Hardwick
Don’t you think that the two parties are going to have plenty to discuss when it comes to the AMC series? It certainly feels that way given that there are two episodes of the zombie drama airing tonight, and with that, there will be opportunities aplenty for them to be able to discuss everything from new locations to new violence to some of the characters who are diving into the zombie world for the first time this year. Part of the intrigue that comes with this comes courtesy of the fact that everything with this show is a complete clean slate. There’s no world or any indication as to what some of these characters are going to be up to, or where their allegiances will ultimately lie.
The Chris Hardwick series is right to snag two of the show’s stars plus executive producer Dave Erickson after the first episodes of the season. It will help this show to make a big impact, and it needs that to keep us from missing Talking with Chris Hardwick, the excellent chat series that aired during the hiatus between this show and the flagship one. The strength of this show existed mostly in the long-form interview, and this is one that Talking Dead could benefit more from doing. We’ve never been a huge fan of having the people on the show who don’t know anything about it save for maybe Yvette Nicole Brown, coming on board and giving their thoughts on the story. There just isn’t that much worth discussing there with them beyond their opinions.
We’ll see what the lineup holds now for the rest of the season, given that there are times in which the show fails to get many headlines a little bit more when there are a lack of big names in the middle of a season or when it follows a subpar episode, which does happen here and there along the way.
