The Bachelorette spoilers: DeMario Jackson’s girlfriend meets Rachel Lindsay
In the sneak peek below (via ABC News) from Monday night’s new episode, you can see the woman (Lexie) turn up to tell Rachel what seems to be the truth about her popular suitor, who she first met during the live After the Final Rose special. She claims that the two of them were together, and then he just up and left. She then saw him later doing the special, and of course decided to get in touch with production. This isn’t the first time that someone’s supposed girlfriend turned up on the show — the last time that it happened, it created a little bit of a stir, but it felt more like a stunt than anything after the fact.
This time, who knows what was going on? If DeMario was seeing someone before the show, he had to think that this was a possibility, especially in this instance since people saw him doing the live show. Maybe he thought that if he was just filming the show nobody would know where he was, but that’s the only scenario that makes any shred of sense.
Part of the delicious irony that comes along with this incident is the fact that DeMario seemed to be doing rather well beforehand with Rachel. He was confident, athletic, and Lexie turns up after he seemingly dominated during the basketball group date. Also, judging from the video below, his strategy when seeing Lexie is that he doesn’t know who she is. Is it possible in theory that she’s some ex or someone who was there for the purpose of sabotaging him? Sure, but we like to think that the producers do some vetting of these people, even if they know that throwing drama against the wall is great TV. Odds are DeMario knows her in some way since it makes no sense for some complete stranger to turn up there and start blowing up his hopes of being with this woman.
