Arrow season 5 finale: Who’s in the most danger of dying?

Arrow season 5 finale

With the Arrow season 5 finale airing on The CW Wednesday night, there is a reason to be worried about many different people. With that, who should be afraid of the most?

The first person is pretty obvious: Prometheus. Just remember that he is the big bad for the season, and it’s not all that easy to imagine the show moving forward without him. His arc has been all sorts of crazy and intense, but the reality here is that when you’re a character like him, odds are that you’re only going to last for so long. You burn out bright, since otherwise you run the risk of becoming a shell of yourself. As great as Slade Wilson is as a character, The CW made a stupid mistake bringing him back as early as they did in season 3. Effectively, they neutered a good bit of what was great about him just for the sake of getting him back on the air quickly.

If Adrian doesn’t die, fingers crossed that the character does disappear, fall in a whole for a while, and then come back a couple of seasons down the road. Given that he is one of Oliver’s greatest enemies, there may be a place for him in the endgame.

As for who else could be in jeopardy, you have to look towards someone like Thea Queen — it’s hard to say that, but she’s been on and off the show all season. It’d be devastating, but if the writers want to get rid of someone at this point, she has to be a candidate. Another big one could be Quentin Lance, if for no other reason than that it would pull on the heartstrings and every member of the Earth-1 Lance family does seem to die on this show at one point or another.

For now, it seems like Black Siren, Wild Dog, and Dinah are all safe because of recent series-regular promotions. Obviously, Oliver will be back, and more than likely so will Diggle and Felicity. Maybe you look towards someone like Evelyn Sharp or Malcolm Merlyn if you are looking at someone else who could die, but it needs to be done in the right way to make it powerful.
