Chicago Med season 2 finale spoilers: Robin’s complications

With the Chicago Med season 2 finale coming to NBC next week, let’s go ahead and say that there will probably be tears (so get those tissues ready). There could be reasons to be concerned for the future of Dr. Charles’ daughter Robin. She’s shown signs of mental illness for weeks, and unfortunately, nothing has gotten a whole lot better for her. One problem is that Dr. Charles was so connected to the case that it made finding the right treatment a little bit more difficult. Luckily, we do now have the right person on the case in Dr. Reese. Is she still invested? Certainly, and she may be better equipped to see the truth in the midst of the heartbreak and the trying times.

Now that we’ve laid all of that out there, let’s get to presenting some of the scoop regarding what is coming up in the rest of the Chicago Med finale, fittingly titled “Love Hurts.”

Chicago Med season 2 finale synopsis – “A new hotshot doctor arrives at Chicago Med causing competition for Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell). Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) work together to diagnose a Syrian refugee without a medical record. When Robin (guest star Mekia Cox) is admitted back into the hospital for more complications, Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) takes a different approach to her treatment. Distracted from work because of Robin’s worsening case, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) is challenged by Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and Noah (guest star Roland Buck III) hosts a graduation party that brings everyone together.”

For those of you out there who ‘ship Will and Natalie, celebrate the fact that they have a case together. For those of you who love Oliver Platt getting great material, embrace that he and Goodwin are going to have some time working together. This is a finale that does seem to offer something for everyone, which is one of the things that this show does better then most. It wraps up the majority of the season 2 storylines, but we imagine that it will leave some dangling threads out there to get viewers excited for a season 3. NBC hasn’t confirmed the show’s future yet, which is both very frustrating and something that we will also likely touch on further as we get closer to the show returning.
