Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion sneak peek: Phaedra Parks’ viewpoint

Leading up to part three on Sunday, we’ve got a new Real Housewives of Atlanta sneak peek below! This one is all about Phaedra Parks, and her role in a scandal that heated up over the course of several episodes.

Specifically, we’re talking about the “rumors” that Kandi Burruss is a lesbian, and this seemed to stem in part from some of the things that Phaedra said. She’s asked about this said comments by Andy Cohen and a viewer of the show, and she seems here to balk somewhat at the thought of her being responsible for this in any way. Specifically, she seems to think that she’s being misjudged somehow for her role in how everything went down, and really the only thing that she did was say a few things about Kandi supposedly being with another woman.

Given that Phaedra is an attorney, you really shouldn’t be that surprised that all of this comes down to word choice, right? Phaedra is right that there’s a difference between being with a woman and being a lesbian, but context also matters when discussing the scope of her comments.

At the end of the day, though, we don’t really think that many viewers out there are chomping at the bit to get more in terms of Phaedra defending herself here. The real meat of this whole drama is going to come courtesy of Porsha Williams, and some of the stuff that she had to say about the subject of Kandi over the course of the season. This is a situation that has been hyped up numerous times already, and it appears that at some point over the course of the episode, we’re going to see Kandi getting very emotional about the fact that so much of this has been fired her way. It doesn’t seem to be so much about the idea of being a lesbian as it just does the way in which the rumors were spread and some of the specific comments that paint her in a particular light.

One other comment to add in here — even if Kandi was a lesbian, who cares? It’s 2017, people.
