Mayans MC spoilers: The latest two additions

MayansThere are few other shows on the air quite like Mayans MC in terms of overall hype. It makes sense why, after all, given that Kurt Sutter’s involved. Sons of Anarchy was one of the most iconic series of all time, so it only makes sense that FX would try to recreate that magic in whatever fantastic way that they possibly can.

Today, what we are here to present to you is some more of the latest casting news. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the following two names have been added to the series, which has been filming its pilot episode in Southern California as of late.

Carla Baratta – The Venezuelan actress is potentially going to be a series regular in the event that the show is picked up. She will play the part of Carnalita, a young woman who has been through a great deal in her life. Her own family died at the hands of the Galindo cartel, and she’s now looking to help protect many other children who found themselves orphaned as a result of some of the violence.

Maurice Compte – Meanwhile, Compte of Narcos fame is going to potentially recur in the series in the role of a highly-regardent agent with the DEA, someone tasked to take down the leader of the Galindo cartel who Carnalita had such a terrible experience with. He will do everything that he can in order to ensure that this cartel is brought to justice, even if in the process he runs the risk of losing a part of his own soul. He takes this search to obsessive levels.

In terms of this casting in particular, one of the things that does intrigue us so much is the role that we’ve seen law enforcement play on Sons of Anarchy over the years. We’ve seen officers who were completely unhinged, just as we’ve also seen some here and there who were corrupt and driven by things other than justice. Seeing how the DEA fits in here, and how they react to the presence of the Mayans, will be one of the interesting things about this series.
