Suits season 7 spoilers: Psych alum Dule Hill joins as new regular
Here is what we know for now. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the former Psych star (who is reuniting with USA, the network that hosted that show for eight seasons) is set to appear on the show as Alex Williams throughout the upcoming season. He is a longtime friend of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) who works as a senior partner at a rival firm in Bratton Gould.
Could Harvey try to convince Alex to come to work at Pearson Specter Litt? We wonder so, given that they could use the help, and we do love the idea of seeing as much Dule on the show as possible. He’s an interesting cast, especially since he was ironically just on another legal show in Doubt that was canceled after a number of airings on CBS. He’s got the dramatic and the comedic chops necessary — you probably also know him for his role on HBO’s Ballers.
Season 7 of Suits is going to be premiering on USA this summer, and there’s also a part of us that hopes that bringing Hill back into the network fold is going to make the process of getting a Psych movie / limited run together all the easier. We do know that there’s been chatter all of the internet about it over the past month or two, but unfortunately chatter does not always equal reality. We just know that Hill working for another USA show could make it easier to avoid scheduling conflicts. Also, we wonder how Burton Guster would feel about having a New York lawyer for a doppelganger.
