Taken finale spoilers: Bryan risks everything

Taken finale

Next week, the Taken finale is going to be coming to be airing on NBC, and based on some of the information out there, it’ll be big. The stakes are higher, the drama is intense, and by the time we make it to the end, there’s a good chance that your jaw will be on the floor.

Is there a good chance that there’ll be a cliffhanger at the end of all of this? We do have a feeling that this is pretty possible, given the fact that this is the sort of show that needs to have something like that to get people excited. Maybe the current arc related to Mejia will come to an end, but we imagine the producers will set up something else.

If you look below, the official synopsis does do a pretty good job of setting things up.

Taken finale synopsis – “As the FBI threatens to remove Christina (Jennifer Beals) from command, Bryan (Clive Standen) and John (Gaius Charles) lead a rogue mission to stop Mejia’s associates before they cross the border. With no allies to assist them, the ODNI risks losing their jobs, their lives, and those closest to them.”

As for what the odds are at present for a season 2 renewal, right now we’d say that NBC is probably on the fence. The ratings haven’t been terrible, but at the same time they haven’t been better than many of the network’s other 10:00 p.m. Eastern shows. The biggest reason to renew it is seeing if the network can get more viewers thanks to streaming platforms. Also, it would do the network some good to show a little long-term faith in their programming.

Promo – This gives you a sense as to why we’re going to be seeing Bryan risk everything — the woman he loves was taken, and now he has to find a way to get her back. The problem that comes with this is that he’s going to have a rather hard time getting authorization to get precisely what he wants out of it. As a matter of fact, the words “suicide mission” are really bandied about here.
