The Voice spoilers: What Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin will sing (Team Alicia)

Tonight, The Voice Live Playoffs are beginning, and with that we’re here in order to present the first round of song spoilers for the evening! There are two teams tonight in Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys who are performing, and within this article, we’ll give you most of the song spoilers for this group. There is still a wildcard act that will be named, but we want to keep that a little hush-hush for now.

What we do have for you below are some song choices — with our impressions — for the remainder of the team. Remember that these are integral in actually giving the public a sense of who these people are as artists.

Vanessa Ferguson, “Lean On” – It’s a pretty fun, current song for her to do. The big thing that shocked us was learning that this song has almost two million views on YouTube. We had no idea!

Anatalia Villaranda, “Stand by Me” – We can see her being one of those performers who does a lot of vintage songs, and finds a way to please both original fans of them and younger audiences at the same time.

Stephanie Rice, “Every Breath You Take” – We love the idea of the gender-flip. With this song? The creepy undertones of the lyrics are such that some people will never take it that seriously.

Ashley Levin, “I Can’t Stand the Rain” – Hey, Tina Turner! We’re getting into another classic here, but Ashley may have to work harder than Anatalia to modernize it since not all young viewers will know it.

Chris Blue, “Love on the Brain” – We feel pretty confident that Chris will move forward into the next round. It’s a great, super-current song choice, and it does appeal to much of his base.
