Next week, Better Call Saul season 3 episode 2 will air on AMC, and as a result of that, you’re going to see the continuance of a pretty epic war. On one side, you’ve got Jimmy McGill. On the other, you’ve got his brother Chuck. The gloves are now off, and the journey to becoming Saul Goodman is going to accelerate.
In a sense, there is some tragedy that comes with that given the sole fact that Jimmy was once an optimistic, cheerful guy trying to make the world a better place through his own decisions to practice law. Now, he’s Slippin’ Jimmy more than he’s ever been, but with more experience behind him. The only thing that may be holding him back is that shred of good that was there, and the presence of someone in Kim Wexler who he does care about. By the time we make it to Breaking Bad, Saul is the only character that Saul cares about. It’s been great to get to know this other side, but this said other side is about to disappear into the ether.
Now, let’s hand down a few more details regarding what’s ahead….
Better Call Saul season 3 episode 2 synopsis – “Jimmy and Kim hire an assistant; Mike seeks out a mysterious acquaintance; and Chuck uses the law to gain an advantage over Jimmy.”
AMC is not going to be a network to hand down an extensive amount of details for upcoming episodes, but we imagine that there will be a snowball effect that comes with everything that Jimmy gets himself into … and how Mike factors into that. The further we get into this season, the more important this “mysterious acquaintance” will likely be.
Promo – The name of the game here is going to be staying alive. Chuck still thinks he is ready to doom his brother. Jimmy may be ready to take the next step, but taking that means that he could either doom himself or Kim in the process. He’s bold, but that boldness already has him in trouble with both his brother and several members of the military. He has to be afraid for the future.
