This episode is specifically entitled “No Retreat, No Surrender,” which almost sounds like the sort of message that you would see off somewhere on an Army recruitment poster. It’s probably meant to reflect the high level of commitment that the characters within the NYPD have in making sure that justice is served over the course of this story, and we’re hopefully going to see this come in many forms. Erin has a mission coming up that is both personal and professional. Meanwhile, we’re going to see Danny and Baez work together to figure out a rather-unusual case, while at the same time Frank has an issue of his own that could go all the way to the top.
Blue Bloods season 7 episode 20 synopsis – “After Reggie Wilson (Cyrus Farmer), a witness in a former case of Erin’s, asks her for help shutting down a drug operation in his apartment building, she makes it her mission to make the building safe for his family. Also, while investigating a teen’s suicide, Danny and Baez uncover information that suggests the death was a homicide, and Frank looks into potential misconduct in the Mayor’s office.”
One of the more interesting challenges as of late when it comes to Blue Bloods is to expand on the relationship between Frank and the Mayor without actually getting to see the Mayor all that often. David Ramsey (who plays Mayor Poole) is a super busy guy given that he’s a regular on Arrow, and with that show filming in Vancouver, it’s hard for him to make many cross-continental flights to work even when he doesn’t have as busy of a schedule … which seems to be pretty rare. We’ll see specifically how this story unfolds.
