The Originals season 4 episode 2 sneak peek: The quest to free Klaus
It should be clear to everyone right now that Joseph Morgan’s character is not in a good spot. He’s miserable, and he doesn’t have the ability for a lot of people to help him based on where he is at present. Nonetheless, we’re going to see the likes of Elijah, Rebekah, Hayley, Kol, and Freya all collectively do their part, and that is an army (albeit a small one) that we’d never want to bet against in a million years. They know what they’re doing, and more than that, they are incredibly effective at precisely what they do.
To us, the real excitement of the story (not that it’s bad so far) is going to come when Klaus emerges. How will this new world react to him? So much time has passed, and he has some new responsibilities to deal with and opponents to square off against.
In this video, you also get a pretty good sense as to what’s happening currently with Hope — she’s having visions at night about a certain ouroboros symbol (i.e. a snake eating its own head) that she’s putting pen to paper on. Not only that, but this same symbol is starting to pop up all over New Orleans. Trying to uncover the mystery behind that is going to be one of the great long-term storylines of this season, and it’s one we’re excited for since it’s so different than anything we’ve seen before. In the end, personally we’d be the most excited this season in order to check out a storyline that features many of the main characters teaming up against a new threat as opposed to them continuing to feud against each other in some way. Interesting things could come out of making once-time rivals into strange bedfellows moving into the future.
