Ready for some Anne Dudek – The Flash season 3 casting news? Look below, and be prepared that this will carry you straight to the future.
As first reported by TVLine, the actress is going to be appearing in the role of Tracy Brand who will be part of a story arc that will cross several episodes. The site describes her as “a smorgasbord of quirky idiosyncrasies,” and she’s certainly also going to be someone who really could be at the center of some fun, entertaining stuff. At one point in the future, she’ll be renowned for her abilities as a tech genius.
So how does this role fit in to The Flash season 3 as a whole? The big thing that we know is that Barry Allen will be heading to the future in order to better determine precisely what happens with Savitar. This may be the only place where he is able to uncover any sort of answers, so a big part of the series coming up will incorporate time travel to some degree … but probably not anywhere near as much as Legends of Tomorrow.
Obviously, the big story right now getting a ton of press in regards to The Flash is the musical crossover even with Supergirl, which airs tomorrow and looks on the surface to be a great deal of fun. There are musical numbers galore of course, but then also some fun nods to Glee thanks to Darren Criss making an appearance. We figure that for some, the big point of contention is going to be getting this story right in the midst of a Savitar battle. This could in turn seem like some sort of distraction to it, and not the sort of thing that some people out there will want. Personally, we’re fine with it so long as the story stays entertaining.
As for Dudek, we’ve seen her on House, Covert Affairs, and some other shows — with that, we’re certainly more than excited to see precisely what’s coming to be coming up with this story now.
