Once Upon a Time season 6 spoilers: Alison Fernandez of Jane the Virgin cast
Here’s what we know right now. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Fernandez (who is better known for playing a younger version of the title character on Jane the Virgin) will appear at the end of the season. While specific details about the part are not currently available, most indications seem to suggest that she could be taking on the role of a “mischievous” ten-year old girl who first appears in the season 6 finale, and could come back to play a big role in a potential season 7. This was something that was first reported by TVLine a little ways back.
We’ve absolutely heard a wide array of different rumors as of late about this and the recent casting of Andrew J. West of The Walking Dead, with some of the biggest ones being that West’s character could be an older Henry and we’re getting some sort of reset version of the entire series. However, this hasn’t been confirmed in the slightest, and one of the reasons why this conversation is out there may be a simple function of the fact that this is a series in the middle of a strange, chaotic time. Nobody knows if we’re going to get a seventh season. Even beyond that, nobody knows for sure if the seventh season will feature most of the beloved characters we’ve seen so far. Resetting the show would enable it to continue, but at the same time, would everyone be all that onboard with the idea? Part of the magic of Once Upon a Time stems from the people that we’ve already come to know and love on the show.
Who knows, though? It’s certainly possible that the vast majority of what we’re seeing here is misdirection, and we’re going to get down the road some other characters as played by these actors. They could also be some sort of contingency plan based on everything that happens behind the scenes.
