Chicago Med season 2, episode 16 preview: What’s next for April, Tate?

For anyone wondering what the drama is going to be like on Chicago Med season 2, episode 16, we’ve got some details. This episode is entitled “Prisoner’s Dilemma,” and that should make it all the more clear that yet again, difficult decisions are going to be at the forefront of the story. We’ve got characters stuck in challenging situations, and it will not be all that easy to see if they are able to escape them without the loss of their patients. (Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of that tonight as it is.)

Synopsis – “Dr. Reese (Sarah DiPillo) is contacted for help by a troubled teen in a psychiatric facility and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) tries to help parents make a decision about their comatose daughter’s surprise pregnancy. April (Yaya DaCosta) begins to deal with repercussions from her personal life. Meanwhile, Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) work to save both a young girl from Ecuador who collapsed mid-flight, as well as her mother, who made great sacrifices for her daughter.”

The April story is the one that does worry us the most just because of the issues she and Tate are having this season in between her work hours and some of her medical problems. The two have pressed onward, but are we getting to a point where things are going to be too much? It feels understandable at this point for people to worry given what we saw tonight with her seemingly losing her baby. This would put a strain on any relationship.

One other thing that you should especially remember at present is that later this month, there will be a significant character death within the show. It is something that we’ve teased in the past, but whatever happens will have a pretty lasting effect on all of the characters moving forward this season. While these people may be familiar with death, it’s a little different to experience it firsthand with a loved one.
