Grey’s Anatomy season 13, episode 15 preview: Jackson goes rogue
Here’s one thing that we know for sure you can expect: Battles between Jackson (pictured above with April) and his mother Catherine Avery. In the sneak peek below, Jesse Williams’ character confronts his mother about the role that he has leading the foundation, and how he wants to find his inner power. There is a delicious amount of irony that is present here. She is effectively the one responsible for giving him such responsibility in the first place. However, at the same exact time she is also the reason why her plans with Dr. Minnick could fall through.
Jackson tells her he has every intention of working with the board to get Dr. Webber instilled once again in his old post. She may not like it, but if this is truly a situation where he is now in charge, is there anything that she can really do in order to change it up? Can she convince him to go in a different direction in terms of his thinking?
This sneak peek is probably one of many scenes on the subject airing next week, and we could end up actually seeing a huge divide at the hospital when it comes to Minnick’s presence. Many of the attendings, who previously trained under Webber, have very little incentive in order to keep her around. They feel like he taught them right how to become good doctors, and they think that their experience in some way automatically carries down to the next generation.
However, at the same time the residents all seem to collectively like Minnick and the opportunities that they are getting to work under her. Let’s just say that this episode is called this for a reason…
