‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 13 preview: Gorilla Grodd, Jesse Quick return

Grodd -For everyone out there who is a fan of Gorilla Grodd and “The Flash,” rest assured — there’s some great stuff for the character coming up! The downside at the moment is clear that you’re going to have to wait for it.

Following tonight’s all-new episode of the show, there won’t be another installment coming on the air until we roll around to Tuesday, February 21. This one is going to be huge for a number of reasons, and not just because the infamous ape is going to return. You will also get a chance to see more of Jesse Quick for the first time since earlier this season, in addition to the Earth-2 version of Harrison Wells. Also, Keith David is going to be around as Solovar, the noted ape leader of Gorilla City, which is where Grodd was transported after being shipped through the breach on the show last season.

Based on many of the early indications that we have, what lies ahead for this show is going to be for the most part a story about trust, especially when it comes to a character like Grodd, and also seeing whether or not Jesse and Kid Flash can man the fort on Earth-1 with Barry taking off elsewhere.

Synopsis – “When Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs.”

Promo – This looks intense! It’s a shame that you’re going to be waiting for a good two weeks to get it given all of the love that’s out there for Grodd.
