‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: First details on Gorilla Gordd’s return

Flash -

For those of you who wondered when we were going to see Gorilla Grodd back on “The Flash,” we’re very much pleased to have a firm answer for you: Tuesday, February 21. Not only that, but it’s rather nice to also know that Jesse Quick and the Earth-2 Harrison Wells could be a part of the story as well! This episode (entitled “Attack on Gorilla City” will bring us back to Earth-2 — or in the case of Julian, will bring him there for the first time. Harry will have been kidnapped, and it’s up to the team to try and get him back.

This is an episode that will feature not only the most advanced advanced version of the ape super-villain that we’ve seen on the show to date, but we’re also going to get our first appearance of Solovar, another powerful gorilla and someone from the comics. On the show, he’s being voiced by Keith David of “Enlisted” and “Community” fame. Grodd informs Barry in the episode that Solovar wants to invade Earth-1, and that they should work together in order to stop him.

Here’s the question that the team really should be wondering: Is Grodd actually someone who can be trusted? Given his history, and the fact that Grodd had to be thrown into exile on another Earth in the first place, it feels pretty clear that this is someone who should have a floating “caution” side over their head the whole time.

For those wondering who’s going to be left behind back at Earth-1 in this episode, H.R. and Joe are going to do their best to help out Jesse and Kid Flash while they take on a meta-human with the power to control gravity. It’s a chance to get Jesse and Wally together again, and we have to think that some fun scenes could come from seeing Jesse interact with another version of her father.
