‘The Bachelor’ ‘villain’ Corinne Olympios defends actions on ‘Ellen’

Corinne -Just in case you (somehow) aren’t getting enough of Corinne Olympios on “The Bachelor” this season, you’ve got another video featuring her to check out on “Ellen” this week. You can see some of that in the video below, as she does her best to talk about her experience filming this season, while also defending herself here and there in the process.

We’re not going to pretend that there is anything all that interesting about this, given that it’s the same sort of pattern we’ve seen from many other villains over the years including Olivia from last season — mostly, it’s her trying to show that she is a serious person and the editing blows things way out of proportion / only shows a single side of her personality. She claimed that she doesn’t have any regrets for her behavior, and the one thing that she does really work hard to clarify is the perception of “nanny” Raquel as her babysitter. She said she was more of a housekeeper or cleaning lady, but she didn’t want to diminish the impact that she’s had on her family while on the show. (There wan’t any way that she was going to get out of this on the show.)

Ultimately, we do think that this is all Corinne getting mostly what she wants — more attention, especially if she is looking to be more of a model / actress. For all of the talk of her running a multi-million-dollar company, we got the sense even before the show that she’s more interested in a career in show business. She’s already got a modeling profile and odds are she’s a lock for “Bachelor in Paradise” if she wants it.

We’ll never be the biggest Corinne fan, but we will at least give her credit for not shying away from the franchise or complaining excessively about how she didn’t expect the experience to be what it turned out to be. She seems aware of what she got herself into and what she’s now famous for.

Now, we’ll just have to see if she can survive a confrontation with Taylor at the start of Monday night’s new episode. You can read more about that by heading over to the link here. (Photo: ABC.)
