‘Shadowhunters’ season 2 spoilers: Sebastian is coming courtesy of ‘Game of Thrones’ actor
Who is playing Sebastian on Freeform’s “Shadowhunters“? We know that this was one of the biggest questions that many people had for a rather-long time, and with that, we are certainly rather pleased today to be bringing you an answer.
As first reported by TVLine, Will Tudor (“Humans,” “Game of Thrones”) is going to be coming on board as the character from the Cassandra Clare book series. We don’t want to spoil too much for those of you who are not book readers, so let’s just tell you that the character’s name was trending on social media after the casting was announced. That should give you a sense as to how important they are.
Tudor will appear in the first episode of season 2B, which will premiere a little bit later this year. Based on what executive producer Todd Slavkin had to say to the site, there was something about his presence on the show that the producers appreciated almost right away — even when it comes down to his accent:
“When he taped, he had an American accent, which was really interesting … But when we saw his reel, saw him on Game of Thrones and Humans, then looked at our take on the character, we were like, ‘Oh, you’re from London. You’re from the London Institute. Use your British accent.’ And it works so well.”
There may still be a little bit of waiting to his debut, but it’s not as though “Shadowhunters” is in a slog to get you to that point in the slightest. After all, we’ve got everything from battles to betrayals ahead, not to mention recovering from a death that was surprising even to some readers out there. One of the stories ahead could be about resurrection, especially in terms of whether or not it is possible coupled with what the ramifications of the act would ultimately be.
