‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 12 preview: Lucifer, Chloe, and glorious awkwardness

Lucifer -On this past episode of “Lucifer,” the producers for the show went ahead and gave many of you something that you’ve been looking forward to for a rather long time: A kiss between Lucifer and Chloe! Well, there’s going to be a whole lot more potentially where that came from … but not before you get through some awkwardness along the way.

The two sneak peeks below for Monday night’s new episode are GLORIOUS, largely because of the fact that the two characters seemingly have no idea what to do with one another in the wake of what happened. For Chloe, she decides to get some advice from Maze — which apparently included her being told to put herself out there. Her interpretation of that in the moment was to smack Lucifer on the rear end. For us, this is hilarious. For Lucifer, we’re not sure he precisely knows what is going on. The entire exchange is awkward, but not so much in a terrible way. It’s more of a “we’re two people trying to figure out what this is” way.

As for the second sneak peek, Lucifer decides to take it upon himself, knowing that Chloe is no ordinary woman (though not quite realizing just how extraordinary she is), to speak to some college girls about her. This entire exchange is made awkward by Chloe walking in on them, and immediately wondering what was happening in the room. Once she realized that Lucifer was asking about her, her reaction clearly changes.

While there is going to be some drama in this episode courtesy of Charlotte and other matters, there’s also going to be a lot of fun. Given the progression the show’s making as of late in this relationship, we’re pretty bummed that it’s going to be taking a couple of months off after we make it to the end of next week’s new episode.
