‘Ransom’ episode 4 preview: All about ‘Joe’

Joe -So far, it is certainly fair to say that the scheduling for “Ransom” on CBS is a little bit wonky. After all, this is a show that has been on the air for three episodes so far, and they’ve all come on at times that are confusing for the viewer. The first one aired on New Year’s Day. Then, we shifted to Saturdays starting January 7. Then, we took a week off, and the show came back on the air tonight.

Here’s the good news: When next week’s new episode “Joe” airs, it is going to be doing so at the same exact time as it did tonight, and without any more scheduling craziness. We just hope that there is a core group of viewers still watching at that point.

Below, we’ve got a small amount of details regarding what you can expect to see over the course of the episode.

Synopsis – “When an important engineer at a company that manufactures collision avoidance software in cars is taken hostage, Eric and the team email the kidnapper, Joe (Enrico Colantoni), but discover a third party is intercepting their correspondence and purposely sabotaging their negotiation process.”

What we like about this episode is that we’re going to be getting to see the sort of story that seems perfectly relevant in 2017 given how much discussion there is about sabotage these days. Also, it’s not too often that you end up seeing a team be forced to take on two very different, but almost equally dangerous, forces at the same time. You’re going to be seeing Eric and the team do everything that they can to try to be the heroes, but someone else stepping in and corrupting the message before it is delivered. Therefore, you’ve got both the kidnapper and a dangerous middleman getting in there and causing a little bit of a ruckus.
