‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Oliver will return to Russia for ‘Bratva’
When we first saw that there was an upcoming episode of “Arrow” this season entitled “Bratva,” our initial indication was to think of it as an episode that would be mostly geared to the past. However, we’re now getting an indication that this is not exactly the case.
Instead, this episode is going to be one that features Oliver Queen’s two separate timelines linking up, and we’re going to be seeing Stephen Amell’s character head overseas to the country with Felicity and the team. While there, he will have a reunion with Anatoly, and take part in an unknown mission. It’s not entirely clear at present what said mission is, but it has to be fairly significant if it is going to take some time away from whatever is going on in Star City, where you’ve got Prometheus running around as well as Vigilante, someone who clearly cannot be trifled with judging from what we’ve had a chance to see to date.
Also in this episode, be prepared to see a hopefully-recovered Quentin Lance return to work, but could find himself in hot water rather quickly thanks largely to the presence of one Susan Williams, who of course wants an interview with him. Is he going to be able to handle that sort of pressure? The good news here is that he may have someone standing nearby who is willing to come to his rescue to a certain degree.
If we were to put on a thinking hat here in terms of speculating precisely what the reasoning for Oliver’s trip we could be, our prevailing theories are that it either has to do with freeing John Diggle somehow from his current (and terrible) state, or that it may be tied in some way to what is going on with Prometheus. Maybe he discovers that there is a very clear connection between the character and his time there that he wants to further explore.
