‘Timeless’ episode 12 preview: Jesse James and a ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ actor turn up

Timeless -There are several things to like about where the story is going to going moving into the future on NBC’s “Timeless.” For one, let’s start notable historical figures. Jesse James is going to be the next big name turning up on the show, at least in terms of a notable historical figure turning up and causing some trouble. Also, it shouldn’t be all that big of a surprise at all that we’re going to be seeing Garcia Flynn work with them in some capacity. This is a man who loves teaming up with bad guys, which is kind of odd for a man who does like to claim that he’s got a certain level of moral ambiguity.

To go along with all of this, there is one other thing that we can tell you right now that is rather exciting: Colman Domingo, who you may otherwise know as Strand from “Fear the Walking Dead,” is going to be appearing in the role of one of the most important lawmen of the time (someone who Rufus in particular is going to be psyched to see). Just consider this a little bit of further evidence that this show really does do the best job that it can with its guest casting. Remember for a minute here that we’re also getting both Jim Beaver and Misha Collins of “Supernatural” fame coming up a little bit later this season.

Now, let’s get to sharing some of the first details from “The Murder of Jesse James” below.

Synopsis – “Flynn (Goran Visnjic) teams up with legendary outlaw, Jesse James (guest star Daniel Lissing). Together they cut a bloody swath across the American frontier. Hot on Flynn’s trail, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) enlist the help of an iconic Marshal to help bring the fugitives to justice.”

Promo – Why all of the snow? It’s probably not what you thought about at first when it comes to the frontier, but it can get really cold out there in some parts! More than that, all of the powder does give the episode a little bit of a distinct flair, and it makes sense given that the show probably filmed this particular hour in Vancouver during November or December.
