‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 12 preview: What’s next for Lucifer, Chloe in ‘Love Handles’?

There are a number of different things that we’ve had a chance to learn to date about some of the characters in “Lucifer,” but one of the biggest ones is this: Charlotte as a character has zero desire to sit back and watch anything evolve naturally. She’s far more intent on getting out there, having her voice heard, and doing what she can to cause chaos — even if it’s in a subtle way. That’s why the knowledge getting out there about Chloe being “destined” in some way has not been good for anyone.

So where are we going to see the show go from here? Next week, we’ve got a story called “Love Handles” that is going to hopefully do a good job presenting the next step in Lucifer and Chloe’s relationship, but here’s the issue: At some point along the way, they’ve also got a case that they have to figure out. Since television loves to be this manic and not focus on any one thing in particular, there is this continuous appeal about being able to bounce around and try out a wide array of different things. In so many ways, that does add to the fun.

Synopsis – “Lucifer and Chloe investigate a mysterious masked killer who is poisoning college students. They also try to make sense of their new relationship, after a long-awaited kiss. Meanwhile, Charlotte visits Linda for advice on a touchy subject.”

When it comes to Charlotte and whatever advice she receives here, the only thing that we can say with some confidence is that odds are, what is good for her is probably not good for everyone else. That only accents the drama of the show even further when you take a moment to think about it.

Promo – The good news is that there’s a LOT more kissing to come for Chloe and Lucifer. The bad news? There’s still going to be plenty of manipulation still going on behind the scenes. Why can’t anything ever be easy?
