‘Quantico’ season 2: Priyanka Chopra speaks out following on-set injury
For those of you out there worried about the state of “Quantico” and its biggest star, rest assured that Priyanka Chopra is doing fine.
Late this past week, reports first surfaced that the actress suffered a difficult fall while working on the ABC show, and she was rushed to the emergency room as a result of it; the injury was not serious, but it was still enough to have her sidelined temporarily.
In a post on Twitter, Chorpa made it clear that she is looking forward to getting back to the set as soon as possible. There aren’t any suggestions that her injury will make a significant impact on production; there are so many different characters who are a part of the show that it could be easy for the series to just coordinate out various schedules so that some of the scenes not featuring Alex Parrish can be filmed. (To be fair, we are not privy to the show’s production specifics, but there are certain assumptions that can be made.)
Aside from what happened to Chopra on set, this is a time of pretty significant change for “Quantico” as a whole. the show is gearing up to air on Monday nights for the first time starting on January 23, and it was also just reported that there is a big structural change coming. For the first time, we’re not going to be seeing the series doing two separate timelines once we get around to March. We’re consolidating things in instead, and with that allowing for some opportunities to really get to know specific characters through one narrative. It’s a welcome change for a show that at times has tried to do a little too much rather than just let the great people that they have shine. Given everything that has been going on with Alex and the hostage crisis, it does remain clear that there is some interesting material to work with moving forward.
Once there is a further update on Chopra’s condition, we’ll be sure to let you know — for the time being, though, rest assured that there is nothing overt to worry about. We’ll continue to send her well-wishes along the way.
