‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Reade and Tasha?

On this past episode of “Blindspot,” we saw Reade make what was a pretty big move when it comes to his romantic future, professing that there were some feelings that he had for Tasha. Unfortunately, we cannot say that they quite landed. Instead, it quickly became rather awkward and we were left, more or less, to watch the aftermath of that.

Is there a chance for things to change moving forward? It’s possible, but it is also not guaranteed. As executive producer Martin Gero noted to Entertainment Weekly, the relationship that the two parties share is going to be developed further:

“They have a lot of love for each other, but I think that really took Tasha by surprise … Reade is going through a very rough time in his life and I think was reaching towards her, hoping for some stability and distraction. They’re going to have to work through it the next couple of episodes, but it all stems from the fact that Reade isn’t really dealing with what’s happened to him yet.”

This doesn’t really sound like a pair that is going to come together in any sort of prominent romantic capacity, does it? We cannot imagine that it is, but we’ll see what transpires from here given that more so than anything else, what we’ve learned from watching this show is that romantic pairings can come and go, and rise almost from the ashes when you don’t even expect for them to. There was a time, after all, when we thought everything was hopeless for Jane and Weller, but we do see scenarios now where we can see the two of them getting together.
