‘Celebrity Big Brother’ notes: A Stacy Francis twist; Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag’s paycheck

CBB -

One of the things that we’re specifically going to do and explore during this season of “Celebrity Big Brother” is provide you with some assorted updates over the course of the season. Our goal here is relatively simple: To give you a little bit more of our own take on matters in the house, and a few different things in the press.

The Stacy Francis “twist” – Let’s start with what has to be a particularly cruel twist for the start of the game: The returning All-Stars had to all collectively vote on who they felt was the least entertaining of the new people on this season, and that said person was stamped with a hoodie bearing the words “edited out.” They were then left to wander about their business alone, isolated from the group.

Unfortunately for former “X Factor” USA star Stacy Francis, she was the victim of this and was left to some of her own devices. We’d say that this was mean and horrendous, but at the same time if you don’t know that this show is mean and horrendous, you probably did not do enough research before going on the show.

How much were Heidi and Spencer paid? – For those of you who are really interested in the salary side of things, TMZ reports that the two parties have been handed a whopping $700,000 to be a part of this season. That’s less than the $1 million Ray J received, but we’re not altogether surprised by that. It’s still a lot of money, and a much bigger salary than what the majority of the contestants this season are receiving.

Given what Speidi brings to the show in terms of near-constant drama, we’re not altogether surprised that the producers are really willing to shell out some of the big bucks to make them happy.
