‘Chicago Fire’ season 5, episode 10 preview: Is more trouble ahead for Taylor Kinney’s Severide?

Severide -We know that there were some really hard times for Severide on “Chicago Fire” Tuesday night, but the good news is that by the end of the two-part crossover event, he at the very least emerged from prison and won’t be facing charges for what happened with the accident.

That’s the good news moving into next week’s episode. As for the bad news, let’s just say that there could be some other assorted drama facing Taylor Kinney’s character. He’s going to be moving forward when it comes to a renewed effort with the bone marrow donation, but unfortunately, a new snag could be getting in the way. Take a look…

Synopsis – “Severide (Taylor Kinney) agrees to a bone marrow donation but a work accident throws everything into flux. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) try to find harmony at home. Meanwhile, Otis (Yuri Sardarov) and Mouch (Christian Stolte) decide to film a PSA encouraging people to join the Chicago Fire Department but hit a creative wall in the process.”

Given that there was so much heavy stuff that we experienced over the course of the episode tonight, it’s going to be nice to have a little bit of lightness sprinkled here and there with Otis and Mouch — who really are at this point our lightness spirit animals when it comes to this show.

As for Casey and Dawson, it’s going to be interesting to see just how much peace they can have established given that there’s still a chance that Louie’s biological father shows back up. He’s not someone who showed the commitment for his child during the first part of the crossover tonight, but there could be more than meets the eye with his story and we don’t know all of the finer details just yet. Hopefully, this will become a little clearer soon.
