Usain Bolt wants in ‘The Flash’ movie; can we get him on CW version instead?

Flash -

If you are interested in looking for a real-life speedster, you really don’t have to look any further than Usain Bolt. The famed Olympian for Jamaican is known by many to be the fastest man alive, and he does so without the need of a particle accelerator or anything else.

Bolt was speaking to MTV International in a new interview promoting “I Am Bolt,” and in that he was asked if he was interested in being in a superhero movie. His response was pretty much appropriate:

“That would be pretty cool [to] do a cameo, maybe ‘The Flash’ [movie] … [let’s] talk to some people.”

We know that movies were more of the question that came up here, but we’d personally say that he should really look at doing the CW show of the same name a million times over. Sure, we’re partial to “The Flash” on TV because we write about it, but to us the possibilities are much more endless of Bolt was actually interested in doing a little bit of acting. Maybe he is a speedster on Earth-7 or some other world that we haven’t met before; or, it’d be kind of hilarious if he was someone known for being incredibly slow. Either way, he’s the sort of guy you really should want to be a hero, mostly because he’s such an inspiration to many kids out there and this isn’t the sort of situation where you want to associate someone with negativity.

Would the show survive without it? Sure, but “The Flash” is pure fun, and having him on would only add to that in some way. We don’t have a good sense yet of what the upcoming movie is going to be like in terms of tone; plus, our feelings on “Batman v. Superman” are pretty much in line with the rest of the internet’s.

Alas, there is still no new episode of “The Flash” until Tuesday, January 24; we’ll be back soon to discuss it further, but you can see a new promo for it over at the link here.
