‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Nick Viall on his emotional process

Nick -The premiere of “The Bachelor” featuring Nick Viall is a mere matter of days away, and with that, there are of course many things that we are excited to finally see! As easy as it is to be cynical, for example, about much of the experience, at the same exact time there is this notion that someone may be able to find true love while out on the show. That does still remain something very interested and embedded in the fabric of this series; you don’t see it almost anywhere else on TV, at least intentionally. Sometimes on other reality shows it happens, but it is not so much a function of why you signed up in the first place.

Viall recently spoke to People Magazine about how he found some of the experience he went through, and while it was difficult for him at times to cope with the process of dating several women, at the same time he had to find that balance to ensure that the women on the show wanted to get to know him and consider a life with him after the show:

“Early on with so many women, you obviously don’t know a lot of things about them but talking to all of them and wanting to make it meaningful to all of them is very physically taxing … And then as time goes on, it becomes more emotionally taxing and less physically taxing. And you get to know these women, there’s a level of respect. You’re asking them to do things they’ve never been able to do and to face stressful situations and their fears.”

Starting on Monday night, we’ll see more of the physically-taxing side of the equation as Nick manages to meet 30 women over the course of one night, and we imagine that for the most part, they are all going to have some rather-pointed opinions and also be handling the stress in a variety of ways. Would it really be “The Bachelor” otherwise? It’s hard to think so.
